<![CDATA[Transportasi memiliki posisi yang penting dalam kehidupan sehari hari bagi masyarakat. Terlihat dari jumlah kendaraan yang melintas di jalan raya semakin bertambah banyak. Hal ini menimbulkan sebuah masalah baru, sehingga masalah yang timbul di jalan pun semakin banyak serta kepadatan arus lalu lintas di berbagai tempat yang disebabkan oleh banyaknya pengguna jalan. Di tambah jumlah pengendara kendaraan sepeda motor yang mendominasi di kabupaten Kudus ini di kendarai oleh remaja pelajar sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teori yang digunakan dalam membahas permasalahannya yaitu teori managemen dari George R. Terry, teori komunikasi dan paradigma Harold Lasswell. Kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di wilayah hukum Polres Kudus mengalami kenaikan dari tahun ke tahunnya. Kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di wilayah hukum Polres Kudus disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yaitu faktor manusia, kendaraan, dan Lingkungan. Untuk mengurangi kecelakaan, satuan lalu lintas Polres Kudus telah melakukan beberapa tindakan dan kegiatan yang bersifat preemtif, dan preventif, seperti program police goes to school, traffic board, pembinaan patroli keamanan sekolah, kegiatan polisi sahabat anak. Tetapi dalam menjalankan tindakan dan kegiatannya ada beberapa faktor yang menghambat terlaksananya kegiatan dikmas tersebut. Kesimpulannya dari skripsi ini yaitu selama 3 tahun terakhir kecelakaan lalu lintas yang terjadi di wilayah hukum Polres Kudus mengalami kenaikan dari tahun ketahunnya. Pelaku kecelakaan tersebut didominasi oleh pelajar yang menggunakan kendaraan bermotor. Transportation has an important position in daily life for the community. This raises a new problem, so that problems that arise on the road even more and the density of traffic flow in various places caused by the number of road users. In addition, the number of motorbike riders who dominate in Kudus regency is driven by teenage school students. This research uses a qualitative approach. Theories used in discussing the problem are management theory from George R. Terry, communication theory and the paradigm of Harold Lasswell. Traffic accidents that occur in the Holy Police jurisdiction have increased from year to year. Traffic accidents that occur in the Holy Police jurisdiction are caused by several factors, namely human, vehicle, and environmental factors. To reduce accidents, the Holy Polres traffic unit has carried out several preemtive and preventive actions and activities, such as the police goes to school program, traffic board, school security patrol guidance, and the police activities of child friends. But in carrying out its actions and activities there are a number of factors that hinder the implementation of these community education activities. The conclusion from this thesis is that during the last 3 years traffic accidents that have occurred in the jurisdiction of the Holy Polres have increased from year to year.
