Abstract

ABSTRAK KAJIAN TEKNO-EKONOMI REAKTOR INOVATIF IRIS-350. Gangguan keamanan suplai listrik di Indonesia, khususnya sistem jaringan listrik Jawa-Madura-Bali harus diatasi secara bijak. Gangguan suplai listrik ini mungkin diakibatkan oleh kenaikkan harga bahan bakar hidrokarbon juga jumlah pembangkit listrik yang beroperasi masih sedikit. Masalah ini dapat mengakibatkan efek negatif pada sistem sosio-ekonomi nasional. PLTN merupakan salah satu opsi tepat untuk mendukung keamanan suplai listrik sampai saat ini. Beberapa studi mengenai studi kelayakan pengoperasian PLTN di Indonesia harus dilakukan. Studi tekno-ekonomi reaktor inovatif IRIS-350 bertujuan untuk mengkaji aspek teknologi dan ekonomi dari reaktor ini. IRIS-350 (International Reactor Innovative and Secure) merupakan reaktor modular berpendingin air ringan yang dikembangkan oieh konsorsium intemasionai yang dipimpin oleh Westinghouse. Reaktor ini didasarkan pada prinsip-prinsip operasi dan perbaikan yang sangat sederhana, keselamatan tinggi, mudah diinspeksi, waktu pembangunan relatif pendek, biaya investasi kecil, biaya pembangkitan sangat kompetitif, dan mudah disesuaikan dengan infrastruktur yang ada. Karakteristik utama IRIS adalah konsep reaktor integral, dimana semua komponen-komponen utama sistem pendingin reaktor berada di dalam bejana tekan. Reaktor IRIS-350 cukup menarik jika dioperasikan di Indonesia karena biaya investasi lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan jenis PLTN daya besar, tetapi porsi partisipasi nasional menjadi lebih kecil.   ABSTRACT THE TECHNO-ECONOMIC STUDY OF INNOVATIVE REACTOR IRIS-350. Disturbance of security of electricity supply in Indonesia, especially in Jawa-Madura-Bali grid system should be addressed wisely. The disturbance in electricity supply maybe resulted from the rise of hydrocarbon fuel prices as well as only a few of power plants in operation. This problem may impose negative effect to the national socio economic system. NPP may become one of viable options to support the security of electricity supply, and therefore. Some studies regarding the feasibility of NPP operation in Indonesia should be done. This study on techno-economic of an innovative reactor IRIS- 350 is aimed to access technical and economical aspects of the reactor. IRIS-350 (International Reactor Innovative and Secure) is an advanced light water cooled modular reactor being developed by an international consortium led by Westinghouse. This reactor is based on simplified operation & maintenance, enhanced safety, easy to inspect, short construction time, small investment cost, competitive generating cost, and easily suited to the infrastructures. IRIS main characteristic is integral reactor concept, being all the major reactor coolant system components located inside the pressure vessel. IRIS-350 reactor is very interesting if operated in Indonesia because investment cost less than the large NPP type, but the national participation is very small.
