<![CDATA[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji kelayakan fitoplankton laut Chaetoceros calcitrans sebagai bioindikator perairan dan bioakumulator ion Cd 2+ di perairan. Berdasarkan Hasilpenelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat pengaruh toksik yang signifikan terhadap pola pertumbuhan fitoplankton dalam medium kultur C. calcitrans apabila terdapat ion Cd 2+ 0,1 ppm. Hal ini berarti bahwa fitoplankton C. calcitrans dapat dipertimbangkan sebagai bioindikator dan bioakumulator ion Cd2+ yang baik.Kata kunci: Chaetoceros calcitrans, SSA, kadmium bioindokator dan bioakumulator This study aimed to test the feasibility of marine phytoplankton Chaetoceros calcitrans as both of bioindicators and bioaccumulator cadmium ion in water. Based on the results ofthis study concluded that there is no significant toxic effect on the pattern of growth of phytoplankton in the culture medium of C. calcitrans in the concentration 0.1 ppm of Cd2+.
