<![CDATA[Pregnancy and postpartum can disturb a woman's sexual life due to significant changes in physical, hormonal, psychological, social and cultural.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of postpartum maternal accompaniment in the form of pelvic floor muscle training and sexual communication on the quality of sexual relations through sexual dimensions such as desire, arousal, lubrication, orgasm, satisfaction and pain experienced during sexual intercourse by postpartum mothers.The research design used in this study was a mixed method with embedded concurrent strategy. This research began in April 2019 by taking places at Bogor City. For quantitative data, the data was obtained through filling the Female Sexual Function Index questionnaire by respondents. For qualitative data, the data was obtained through in-depth interviews about perceptions and experiences of informants who relating to sexual activity after childbirth. Quantitative data analysis includes frequency distribution and non-parametric mann-whitney tests. Qualitative data analysis using Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), which aims to explore the experience of respondents about something then interpret the experience.The results showed that postpartum maternal accompaniment in the intervention group affected almost all sexual dimensions except the lubrication dimension, while the control group affected the dimensions of sexual desire, sexual arousal, orgasm and sexual satisfaction. While mentoring does not affect the dimensions of lubrication and pain (p> 0.05). there was a significant and meaningful difference between the two groups (p <0.05). Conclusion: pelvic floor exercises and sexual communication affect the sexual quality of the mother after delivery. ]]>
