Karapan sapi is no longer known as a cultural ritual on the farm, but there is a shift function to be a race or a championship. This study aims to determine 1) the motivation that drives owners to follow karapan sapi, and 2) determine the impact of a shift in cultural values of  karapan sapi from social and economic aspects. The data used as discussion material is primary and secondary data derived from interviews with karapan cow owners, department of tourism, and the police. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively.
