Education is a learning experience that takes place in the environment and is obtained throughout life. Education is carried out by the family, community and government. This is in accordance with the definition of education according to Redja Mudyaharjo (2012), namely: "Education can be defined as conscious efforts carried out by the family, community and government through teaching or training guidance activities that take place at school and outside of school throughout life, to prepare students to be able to play a role in various environments appropriately in the future. "As previously explained, the teacher's activities in delivering Civics learning in grade 9th of SMP Negeri 1 Wringin were still dominated by lecturing, memorizing material and giving assignments. From these activities it is known that the teacher has not applied the active learning model type role reversal question in teaching and learning activities. For this reason, the role reversal question type active learning model can be applied in Civics learning, because it can activate students, especially in question and answer activities by exchanging roles. Students can participate directly, not only listening to the explanation of the material presented by the teacher but also thinking critically in question and answer about the learning material being taught. The application of the role reversal question type active learning model in Civics learning, it is hoped that students can understand the material being studied so that student learning outcomes increase. Based on the problem formulation above, the problem formulation of this research is how to improve Civics learning outcomes with the Role Reversal Question Learning Model in grade 9th students of SMPN 1 Wringin.
