Nausea and vomiting in pregnancy are experienced by about 60-80% of primigravida pregnant women and 40-60% of multigravida pregnant women. The management principle of nausea and vomiting include prevention, nausea and vomiting reduction, and fluid and electrolyte requirements correction. To minimize the complaints of nausea and vomiting non-pharmacological measures could be implemented, one of them is by giving ginger water. This research purposes to analyze the effect of giving ginger water on the frequency of nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the Kuok Health Center Work Area in 2020. This research will be conducted in Kuok, Kuok Community Health Center, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, data collection was carried out from June to July 2020. This is A Quasi-Experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test design. The population was the pregnant women in the first trimester who experienced nausea and vomiting as many as 93 pregnant women with a total sample of 14 pregnant women. The purposive sampling technique was employed in this research. The Dependent T-test was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the median frequency of nausea and vomiting before giving ginger water was 3.14 (2.00-4.00) with an SD of ± 0.56 and the median frequency of nausea and vomiting after giving ginger water was 0.79 (0.00- 2.00) with SD ± 0.65.
