THE CORELATION OF EDUCATION LEVEL WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DISCHARGE PLANNING

Abstract

Discharge planning is a systematic process to assess, prepare and coordinate with existing or predetermined health facilities and collaborate with existing social services in the community, before and after the patient moves / returns. Discharge planning problems do not only occur in Indonesia, but also in the world. World data reports that as many as (23%) nurses in Australia did not carry out discharge planning, in southwestern England showed that (34%) nurses did not carry out discharge planning, whereas in Indonesia as many as (61%) nurses in Yogyakarta did not carry out discharge planning. As many as (54%) of nurses in Bandung, west java did not implementation discharge planning. knowing the relationship between the level of education and the implementation of home planning for nurses in RSAU dr. M. Hassan Toto 2020. This study is an analytic with cross sectional study design. The sampling method used total sampling with the population of all nurses who were hospitalized and obtained 30 respondents. Data collection was obtained through observing all discharge planning activities based on Standard Operating Procedures (SPO). The results showed that the level of education of nurses who had Nursing DIII education were 29 respondents (96.7%) and nursing graduates 1 respondent (3.3%). The results of discharge planning implementation as many as 19 respondents (63.3%) carried out discharge planning according to SOP and as many as 11 respondents (36.7%) conducted planning discharge not according to SPO. The results of bivariate analysis with chi square test showed that P value was 0.633> 0.05. There was no relationship between the level of education and the implementation of discharge planning in nurses at RSAU dr. M. Hassan Toto.
