The objectives to be obtained from this study are 1) To find out the increase in assertiveness of students in class XI IPA.B SMA Negeri 1 Singosari before participating in group guidance services. 2) To find out the increase in assertiveness of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Singosari students after attending group guidance services. 3) To prove the increase in the assertiveness of students in class XI SMA Negeri 1 Singosari before and after participating in group guidance services. In this study, the type of research used is experimental. As stated by Arikunto (2006) experimental research is a way to find a causal relationship (causal relationship) between two factors that are deliberately caused by researchers by eliminating or reducing or setting aside other factors that can interfere. Research Design, According to Nazir (2003) "research design is all the processes needed in planning and carrying out research''. There are two kinds of research designs, namely pre-experimental and true experimental designs. This research belongs to the type of true experimental design. True experimental design is a research that has two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group or comparison group. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that 1) The condition of student assertiveness before being given group guidance services in the experimental group on average was included in the low category (57%) and in the control group the average student was also in the medium category (61%). 2) The condition of student assertiveness after the implementation of group guidance services in the experimental group experienced an average percentage increase so that it was included in the high category (75%). While the condition of assertiveness of students in the control group who were not given group guidance services, the average student also experienced an increase in the percentage included in the medium category (62%). 3) Based on the Wilcoxon test, it can be concluded that the final conditions / post test of the two sample groups differ significantly so that group guidance services can increase student assertiveness
