This study aims to determine the role and political participation of women in Pilkada, what factors encourage women to participate in the political process of Pilkada, and what factors inhibit women's political participation in post-conflict local elections in Buru Selatan Regency, Maluku Province. This research is descriptive using a qualitative approach so that to support this research activity, data collection from informants is carried out. Data analysis is preceded by collecting and collecting data or information in the field, after which it is classified according to the type and group, then it is then analyzed or interpreted qualitatively. Based on the analysis, it is known that the role and political participation of women in the post-conflict local election in Buru Selatan Regency, Maluku Province is still lacking. The factors that encourage women to participate in the political process of post-conflict local elections in Buru Selatan Regency, Maluku Province are the existence of policies that open opportunities for women to participate in the flow of government politics as well as the acceptability and local values in South Buru Regency which respect the position of women the same as men. The factors that hindered women's political participation in the post-conflict local election in South Buru Regency, Maluku Province, among others, were factors of education and inadequate experience and interest in political affairs, preferring to be entrepreneurial.
