This study aims to determine the legal issues that arise in the contracting of housing construction work by the contractor. The research method was carried out by using a normative juridical study. The results of the study indicate that legal problems that arise in the completion of work, work that are not in accordance with the bestek, or wrong in planning. Apart from that, it is also caused by the late implementation of the work, such as problematic land, difficulty in obtaining materials, and a tender system in its implementation. With this problem and the contributing factors in the agreement for construction work to build housing, there are several solutions that can be done to overcome this problem, namely by proposing an extension of the implementation time, fixing work items that are considered to violate the building construction bests, using alternative methods. through negotiations between the two disputing parties in an internal kinship manner.
