Pathogenicity of Metabron to Sexava nubila Pest (Orthoptera : Tettigoniidae)Sexava sp. is one of the major pests on coconut palm. Chemical control frequently used by farmers has some limitation, and thus this research was done to study the formulation, pathogenicity and application techniques of bioinsecticide Metabron in the field. The research was conducted from 2005 to 2007 and started with the isolation and formulation of M. anisopliae var. in Minahasa district, and pathogenicity tests in Talaud District. The results showed that var. or Metabron formulated in coconut water, palm oil and milled corn can infect . This entomopathogenic fungi demonstrated the potential to be developed as a biological control agent of the pest. Bioinsecticide Metabron could be applied by spraying of conidia suspension.
