Makanan ikan bilis (Thryssa hamiltonii, Gray 1835) di perairan Pantai Mayangan, Jawa Barat [Diet of Hamilton’s anchovy (Thryssa Hamiltonii, Gray 1835) in the Mayangan Coast, Subang, West Java]

Abstract

The research was conducted during six months in order to examine the diet composition of Hamilton’s anchovy and dietary shift relating with the fish body length. Samplings were done once in a month, using gillnet, minitrawl, and trammel net. Total samples were 795 individuals and the range of total length was between 107-364 mm. The Hamilton’s anchovy was crustacivore and the main food was shrimps. The main food was changed relatAlong with the increasing of the fish size, there was a change of the main foods AbstrakPenelitian yang berlangsung selama enam bulan bertujuan untuk mengkaji komposisi ikan terkait dengan perubahan ukuran panjang tubuh ikan bilis. Pengambilan contoh dilakukan setiap bulan dengan menggunakan jaring rampus, jaring arad, dan jaring berlapis. Sebanyak 573 ekor ikan tertangkap dengan kisaran panjang 74-205. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makanan utama T. hamiltonii adalah udang, sehingga dapat digolongkan sebagai krustasivora. Ikan ini melakukan perubahan makanan terkait pertambahan ukuran tubuh.
