<![CDATA[This writing discusses Indonesian effort in countering domestic terrorism. The existing network that involves externalities such as al-Qaeda makes it imperative for Indonesian Government to improve the diplomacy. Therefore, this writing aims to analyze the action and obstacles within Indonesian diplomacy in countering domestic terrorism. In analyzing process, this writing uses the decision making process as the conceptual framework. As a rational actor, the Government of Indonesia combines the utilization of hard and soft power. The effort on soft power are conducted through public diplomacy, interfaith dialogue, and cooperation engaging other countries and institution at regional and international level. Aside from that, Indonesian Government also set up strong law including tough sanction or punishment towards terrorism acts.]]>
