Abstract

Introduction : Personal hygiene or termed personal hygiene is personal hygiene that is carried out to maintain personal hygiene and health, both physically and mentally. One of the causes of diarrhea is a lack of personal hygiene or what is called personal hygiene. Good personal hygiene will reduce the risk of diarrhea in toddlers. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between personal hygiene and diarrhea in toddlers during the Covid-19 pandemic at the UPTD Puskesmas O'O'U South Nias in 2021. Method : This type of research was to use an analytical approach with a cross sectional approach, namely the researcher carried out measurements or research at one time. to identify whether or not there is a relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable in one measurement. This research was conducted at the UPTD Puskesmas O'O'U South Nias. The population in this study amounted to 23 people with the technique of taking the sample using incidental sampling. The data collection technique used a questionnaire sheet with Univariate and Bivariate data analysis techniques. Result : Research results The results of the chis-quare test obtained the Asymp value. Sig. (2-sided), with a value of 0.007. so that it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between personal hygiene and diarrhea in toddlers during the Covid-19 pandemic at the UPTD Puskesmas O'O'U South Nias in 2021. Conclusion : Personal is very important for children so that children avoid diarrhea
