<![CDATA[Abstract Juvenile delinquency that occurs today is a crucial problem because it can endanger themselves and others. This study aims to find out more about juvenile delinquency in Al Mumtaz Islamic Boarding School of Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that juvenile delinquency that occurred at Al Mumtaz Islamic Boarding School of Yogyakarta was like running away from the cottage, skipping boarding activities such as the Koran and congregational prayers and male students who infiltrated the female dormitory. The factors that cause students to commit delinquency who violate the rules of the pesantren consist of external factors and internal factors. External factors due to the influence of peers, boarding school rules that are too strict and monotonous activities. The internal factor is because of boredom with activities and routines in the pesantren. Keywords: Juvenile Delinquency, Symbolic Interaction, Islamic Boarding School Abstrak Kenakalan remaja yang terjadi saat ini menjadi permasalahan yang krusial karena dapat membahayakan diri sendiri dan orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lebih dalam berkaitan dengan kenakalan remaja yang ada di Pondok Pesantren Al Mumtaz Yogyakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kenakalan remaja yang terjadi di Pondok Pesantren Al Mumtaz Yogyakarta yaitu seperti kabur dari pondok, membolos kegiatan pesantren seperti ngaji dan jamaah sholat fardhu serta santri putra yang menyusup ke asrama putri. Adapun faktor yang menjadi penyebab santri melakukan kenakalan yang melanggaran aturan pesantren yaitu terdiri dari faktor eksternal dan faktor internal. Faktor eksternal karena pengaruh teman sebaya, aturan pesantren yang terlalu ketat dan kegiatan yang monoton. Adapun faktor internal yaitu karena rasa bosan terhadap kegiatan dan rutinitas yang ada di pesantren. Kata Kunci: Kenakalan Remaja, Interkasi Simbolik, Pondok Pesantren]]>
