STUDI DIELEKTRIK POLYVINILIDENE FLUORIDE (PVDF)/SiO2 DARI LUMPUR SIDOARJO

Abstract

Abstrak Dielektrik merupakan jenis bahan isolator listrik yang dapat dikutubkan dengan cara menempatkan bahan dielektrik dalam medan listrik. Silika yang dicampur dengan PVDF fase-β merupakan material yang memiliki sifat dielektrik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan sifat dielektrik PVDF/SiO2 dengan penambahan massa SiO2 (0.16 gram). SiO2 yang digunakan disintesis dari Lumpur Sidoarjo dengan menggunakan metode kopresipitasi. Campuran silika dan PVDF yang telah dibuat dikarakterisasi XRD, SEM, dan LCR meter. Hasil XRD PVDF/SiO2 menunjukkan peak-peak silika maupun PVDF muncul pada posisi 2θ sebagaimana hasil XRD masing-masing. Hasil SEM-EDX menunjukkan tidak terbentuk interfase antar silika dan PVDF. Dan uji LCR meter menunjukkan nilai dielektrik PVDF/SiO2 LuSi (0.16 gram) yaitu 3.37x106 F/m. Kata kunci : bahan dielektrik, PVDF/SiO2. Abstract Dielectric is type of electrical insulating material that can be polarized by placing the dielectric material inside an electric field. In this experiment silica from Sidoarjo mud (LuSi) is being mixed with phase-β PVDF to description dielectric properties of PVDF/SiO2 with some mass of SiO2 (0.16 gram). It begins from silica’s synthesis of mud by using coprecipitation method. After that, silica is mixed with PVDF and characterizations with XRD, SEM, and LCR meter is needed. XRD result of PVDF/SiO2 showed the peaks of silica and PVDF it appears 2θ respectively. However, the peak height of SiO2 on PVDF/SiO2 samples is not as hight as the XRD results of SiO2. SEM-EDX result showed is not appearance of interface bounding of silica and PVDF. LCR meter results showed that dielectric value PVDF/SiO2 LuSi (0.16 gram) 3.37x106 F/m.
