<![CDATA[The involvement of professional social workers is regulated in Law number 11 of 2012 in the context of handling cases of children who are in conflict with the law in Indonesia, one of which is providing social assistance and advocacy. In dealing with cases chidren in conflict with the law in Padang Panjang, Sumatera Barat for last two years the number of social worker proffesion available is only from the and only one person, to cause an imbalance in the ratio between cases of children in conflict with the law and social workers. The purpose of the study is to obtain a clear and in-depth description of implementation of the role of social worker in assistance and social advocacy for children in conflict with the law in Padang Panjang Sumatera Barat. The method used in this research is a descriptive method with qualitative approach, with informants consisting of one key informant, three main informants, and three additional informants. The data collection technique are by interview, observation, and documentation study. The result of this study showed the form of implementation of the role of social worker in assistance and social advocacy for children in conflict with the law in Padang Panjang Sumatera Barat that as sebagai enabler, broker, educator, advocate, expert, and social planner.Keywords: Social Worker, Children in Conflict with the Law, Assistence, Social Advocacy.]]>
