An area that is far from the coast usually prioritizes natural resource activities in the form of agriculture as their economy. Because they are urged by the need for food that does not yet exist, the community begins to try to be able to consume fish from their own area. With the large public interest in fish consumption, it is hoped that the fisheries sub-sector can be an impetus for driving the economy and opening access to job opportunities for labor absorption. The LQ method was used in this study which took place in Temanggung Regency during the 2015-2020 period. Research answers that the fisheries sub-sector still makes a small contribution, but every year it shows an increasing contribution to GRDP. In 2017 and 2018, the fishery sub-sector has value elasticity in opening up job opportunities.
