Data is collected from manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the years 2018-2020. A sample of 159 was obtained and processed to test the hypothesis. The test was carried out using Partial Least Square with WarPLS data processing. This study uses control variables, namely, firm size, firm risk and leverage. The results show that investment opportunities have a positive effect on company performance.Signal theoryplays arole in showing a prospectof investment opportunities and company performance. Then, the corporate governance mechanism did not succeed in moderating the relationship between investment opportunities and company performance. However, the corporate governance mechanism is able to affect the company's performance and has a positive effect if it becomes a regular variable. Supported by agency theory, namely the existence of good corporate governance practices will improve the quality of information and mitigate the existence of information asymmetry in the company. Keywords: investment opportunities, corporate governance mechanism, company performance ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh peluang investasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan dengan corporate governance mechanism sebagai pemoderasi. Data dikumpulkan dari perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) untuk tahun 2018-2020. Sampel sebanyak 159 diperoleh dan diolah untuk menguji hipotesis. Pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Partial Least Square dengan pengolah data WarPLS. Penelitian ini menggunakan variabel kontrol yaitu, ukuran perusahaan, risiko perusahaan dan leverage. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peluang investasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Teori signyal berperan dalam memperlihatkan suatu prospek peluang dari investasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Kemudian corporate governance mechanism tidak berhasil memoderasi hubungan antara peluang investasi dan kinerja perusahaan. Namun corporate governance mechanism mampu mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan dan memberikan efek positif jika menjadi variabel biasa. Didukung oleh teori agen yaitu dengan adanya praktik corporate governance yang baik akan memperbaiki kualitas informasi dan memitigasi adanya asimetri informasi dalam perusahaan.Kata kunci: Peluang investasi, corporate governance merchanism, kinerja perusahaan
