Abstract

This research is motivated by self-development activities of learners in Junior High School 28 Padang. Based on observation that revealed many learners messing around the class, joking when following self-development acitivties especially in extra-curriculer activities.  The result of this research refers to three research focus suchas: (1) BK teacher effectiveness in planning the implementation of extra-curricular activities in self-development of learners, (2) BK teacher effectiveness in management implementation extra-curricular activities in self-development of learners, (3) BK teacher effectiveness to control implementation extra-curricular activities in self-development of learners. Sources of data using Snowball Sampling technique.  As a informan need 2 BK teachers. Additional informant are three teachers subject. The data is collected through interview, observation, and study documentation. Data is tested with use triangulation and membercheck. After that it is analyzed by three stages: 1. reduction of data 2. Presentation of data 3. Conclusion.These results indicate that:BK teacher effectiveness to implementation plan in extra-curricular activities in self-development of learners still not maximal yet, it looks implementation process conducted by joking, messing around, sitting in the canteen and there are the learners who do not participation in activities or just go back to home, and it is because of BK teachers program, time, and fund that not sufficient, and mangement from BK teacher and teacher coaches that not responsible, in control the implementation of extra-curricular in self-development of learners still far from complete, it is evident from the lack of facilities that support for extra-curricular activities and fund a major obstacle for extra-curricular.
