PENGEMBANGAN ALAT UKUR GAS BUANG KENDARAAN BERMOTOR BERBASIS PERSONAL COMPUTER (PC)

Abstract

Pengujian emisi gas buang kendaraan bermotor untuk Indonesia dilakukan oleh DLLAJ masing- masing Pemda yang dikenal dengan UJI KIR, yaitu pengukuran besar emisi gas buang kendaraan bermotor. Sebuah kendaraan idialnya menghasilkan bermotor (berbahan bakar bensin maupun solar) ketebalan asap diperbolehkan sebesar 50%; CO = 4,5% dan HC = 1200 ppm yang diukur menggunakan peralatan smoke meter. Pada penelitian ini ditawarkan dengan mengembangkan peralatan untuk pengukuran gas buang kendaraan bermotor solar dan bensin dengan sensor Gas dan Komputer PC. Sensor yang digunakan TGS 2201 yang mampu melakukan pengukuran gas CO dan HC untuk kendaraan Solar dan Bensin. Keluaran dari sensor gas dikalibrasikan dengan rangkaian Op-Amp kemudian dikonversikan kedalam besaran digital dengan rangkaian ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) sehingga besaran pembacaan sensor gas dapat dibaca oleh paralel port Komputer. Data yang diterima pada terminal paralel port komputer dibaca, diolah dan dibuatkan tampilan antar muka di monitor dengan bahasa pemograman Visual Basic. Setelah dilakukan ujicoba yaitu perbandingan dan kalibrasi terhadap peralatan ukur gas buang kendaraan bermotor milik bagian KIR kendaraan bermotor DLLAJ Kota Padang serta penyesuaian pada bagian referensi dan kalibrasi rangkaian Op-Amp didapatkan hasil pengukuran alat ini dengan toleransi sebesar 12 %. Testing exhaust emissions of motor vehicles in Indonesia performed by each local government DLLAJ known as test KIR, which is a great measurement of motor vehicle exhaust emissions. In this study offered by developing equipment for the measurement of motor vehicle exhaust gas of diesel and petrol with gas sensors and a PC. The sensors used TGS 2201 that is capable of measuring gas CO and HC for vehicles Diesel and Gasoline. The output of the gas sensor is calibrated with a series of Op-Amp is then converted into a digital scale with a series of ADC (Analog to Digital Converter) so that the amount of gas sensor readings can be read by a computer parallel port. The data received on the parallel port of a computer terminal to read, processed and made a display interface on the screen with Visual Basic programming language. After the tests that comparison and calibration of the measuring equipment exhaust of motor vehicles belonging to the motor vehicle DLLAJ KIR part of Padang as well as adjustments in the reference and calibration circuit Op-Amp This tool measurement results obtained with a tolerance of 12%.
