ABSTRAKLatar belakang proyek Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk menciptakan motif batik dengan menerapkan relief Candi Kalasan yang sudah dikembangkan menjadi bentuk motif yang bervariasi dan upaya pelestarian Candi Kalasan terutama relief candi. Serta diharapkan hasil perancangan ini menambah keanekaragaman motif batik Candi Kalasan dan dapat dijadikan sebagai souvenir turis lokal maupun mancanegara.Metode yang dipakai yaitu metode desain dengan melewati 3 tahap yakni metode perancangan, konsep dan visualisasi. Untuk metode perancangan melewati tahap Analisis permasalahan, Strategi pemecahan masalah, Pengumpulan data, Uji coba, dan menentukan Gagasan awal perancangan. Konsep meliputi landasan pemikiran untuk perancangan desain tugas akhir. Visualisasi yakni tahap memvisualkan konsep rencana perancangan yang sudah ditulis dalam proses perancangan.Hasil perancangan tugas akhir ini menghasilkan enam desain batik yang bertemakan relief Candi Kalasan yang meliputi mahkota kala, sulur, sulur gelung, bunga, untaian mutiara dengan penggambaran stilasi dekoratif.Kata Kunci: Batik Tulis, Relief Candi Kalasan.ABSTRACTThe background of this final project is to create batik motifs by applying the reliefs of Kalasan Temple which have been developed into various motifs and efforts to preserve Kalasan Temple, especially the temple reliefs. And it is hoped that the results of this design will increase the diversity of the Kalasan temple batik motifs and can be used as souvenirs for local and foreign tourists.The method used is the design method by passing 3 stages, namely the design method, concept and visualization. For the design method, it passes through the problem analysis stage, problem-solving strategy, data collection, testing, and determining the initial design idea. The concept includes the rationale for designing the final project design. Visualization is the stage of visualizing the design plan concept that has been written in the design process.The results of this final project design produced six batik designs with the theme of the Kalasan temple reliefs which include kala crowns, tendrils, tendrils, flowers, pearl strands with decorative stylization depictions.Keyword: Batik Tulis (Handmade Batik), Relief of Kalasan Temple.
