A medical record is a file that contains records and documents about a patient's identity, examination, treatment, actions and other services that have been provided to patients, medical records begin when a patient or client comes to a health facility asking for help to solve his health problem. Based on the results of interviews with dental and oral therapists who work in hospitals and health centers in several cities and regencies in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, so far they have not used medical records or the status of dental and oral health care in accordance with the stages of dental and oral health care. mouth. The method in this research is an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all dental nurses who worked in hospitals and health centers while the research sample was 65 people. The research instrument used was a questionnaire and a checklist. In the results of the correlation test, there was no significant relationship between the knowledge of dental and oral therapists about medical records and the completeness of records in medical records. Abstrak: Rekam medis adalah berkas yang berisi catatan dan dokumen tentang identitas pasien, pemeriksaan, pengobatan, tindakan dan pelayanan lain yang telah diberikan kepada pasien, rekam medis dimulai saat seorang pasien atau klien datang ke fasilitas kesehatan meminta bantuan untuk memecahkan masalah kesehatannya. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan terapis gigi dan mulut yang bertugas di Rumah Sakit maupun Pukesmas di beberapa Kota dan Kabupaten dalam wilayah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur, selama ini belum menggunakan rekam medis atau status asuhan kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang sesuai dengan tahap-tahap asuhan kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh perawat gigi yang bekerja di RS dan Puskesmas sedangkan sampel penelitian sebanyak 65 orang. Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuesioner dan daftar cek list.  Hasil uji korelasi tidak ada hubungan bermakna antara pengetahuan terapis gigi dan mulut tentang rekam medis dengan kelengkapan pencatatan pada rekam medis.
