<![CDATA[The purpose of the study is: 1) Identifying the activities of employees in the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Kutai Regency which is efficient. 2) Knowing how the effect of efficiency on effectiveness in the management of archiving in the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Kutai Regency. This study is an external type using quantitative data. Research conducted by the author is a verificative study or causality. The sample was randomly selected by 25 respondents. The analysis tool uses the Spearman Rank coefficient ()r_s. From the search results against rs at n = 25 and α = obtained rs table = 0.425. If the rs is compared to the hospital table will be obtained the results of the hospital > the table hospital; It means ho was rejected; This means that efficiency is associated with effectiveness. So, it can be concluded that: 1) There is a positive relationship of efficiency to the effectiveness of work in the Office of Population and Civil Registration of West Kutai Regency. 2) Employees in the Population and Civil Registration Office of West Kutai Regency can accept the efficiency actions taken, although for that it is necessary to direct the leadership to ensure the benefits of the efficiency that is carried out. Tujuan penelitian adalah: 1) Mengidentifikasi aktifitas pegawai di lingkungan Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kabupaten Kutai Barat yang bersifat efisiensi. 2) Mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh efisiensi terhadap efektifitas dalam pengelolaan kearsipan pada Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kabupaten Kutai Barat. Penelitian ini berjenis ekporatif dengan menggunakan data kuantitatif. Penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis merupakan penelitian verifikatif atau yang bersifat kausalitas. Sampel dipililih secara random sebanyak 25 responden. Alat analisis menggunakan koefisien Rank Spearman ( ). Dari hasil penelusuran terhadap rs pada n = 25 dan α = diperoleh rs tabel = 0,425. Apabila rs dibandingkan dengan rs tabel akan diperoleh hasil rs > rs tabel; artinya Ho ditolak; artinya bahwa Efisiensi berasosiasi dengan Efektifitas. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Adanya hubungan yang positif efisinesi terhadap efektifitas kerja di lingkungan Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kabupaten Kutai Barat. 2) Pegawai di lingkungan Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kabupaten Kutai Barat dapat menerima tindakan efisnsi yang dilakukan, meskipun untuk itu diperlukan adanya upaya ketras pimpinan untuk meyakinkan manfaat dari efisinsi yang dilkukan.]]>
