<![CDATA[This research aims to find out whether human resource development has a positive influence on employee competence in the West Kutai Regency Bappeda Office. The results showed that there was a positive and significant relationship between human resource development variables and employee competency variables at the West Kutai Regency Bappeda Office. This can be known from the results of statistical tests where the correlation coefficient (r) is 0.688 which means there is a strong and positive relationship between the two variables. Meanwhile, the results of the t test (t-test) showed that the resulting empirical t was 3,873. This result when compared to the table of critical prices t for n – 2 is 1.721. This means that there is a significant influence between human resource development variables and employee competency variables. Thus, it can also be said that the purpose of this research can be achieved, problems can be solved, and hypotheses can be proven.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah pengembangan sumber daya manusia mempunyai pengaruh yang positif terhadap kompetensi pegawai pada Kantor Bappeda Kabupaten Kutai Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara variabel pengembangan sumber daya manusia dengan variabel kompetensi pegawai pada Kantor Bappeda Kabupaten Kutai Barat. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari hasil uji statistik dimana koefisien korelasi (r) adalah sebesar 0,688 yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang kuat dan positif diantara kedua variabel. Sementara itu hasil uji t (t-test) menunjukkan bahwa t empiris yang dihasilkan adalah sebesar 3,873. Hasil ini jika dibandingkan dengan tabel harga-harga kritis t untuk n – 2 adalah 1,721. Ini berarti terdapat pengaruh yg signifikan antara variabel pengembangan sumber daya manusia terhadap variabel kompetensi pegawai. Dengan demikian maka dapat dikatakan pula bahwa tujuan penelitian ini dapat tercapai, permasalahan dapat terpecahkan dan hipotesis dapat dibuktikan.]]>
