Analisis Cyberbullying di Sosial Media pada Atlet Pelatnas Bulutangkis (Studi Kasus Pada Akun Instagram Atlet Pelatnas)

Abstract

Cyberbullying is an act of intimidation that is often carried out at the age of children and adolescents in cyberspace, especially on social media. This research was conducted to find out the case of cyberbullying that attacked Indonesian badminton athlete Christian Adinata. The purpose of this research is to find out the types of cyberbullying, influence, and prevention. In this study using a qualitative approach with narrative research type, the main object in this research is Christian Adinata Data collection methods are interviews, observations and documents to determine the type, influence and prevention of cyberbullying by Christian Adinata. Data analysis in this study using NVIVO 12 software. The results of this study show that cyberbullying is caused among others envy, loss and has not reached the target. Besides, the disappointment factor of the defeat is the reason why badminton fans do cyberbullying on Christian Adinata's social media accounts. Christian Adinata response at the time of cyberbullying is a dominant hegemonic position. The conclusion of the study is the type of cyberbullying that attacks social media Instagram @christianadinata16 that is opinion slammed. The effect is the diminishing supporters of Christian Adinata. Prevention is done by Christian Adinata by not always spreading his daily life, always polite when playing social media
