AbstractDispute settlement rights to songs or music preferences much done outside the judicial body. The warring parties, as inventor , singer or music producer , you do not want a feud going on between them until the policy office or the Court. They seek to avoid wherever possible settlement of the dispute by such means . They are trying to avoid judicial body briokrasi rambling , impound lot of time, energy and cost . This attitude, attitudes and behaviors related to cultural mentioned law. To the East , such as Korean , Japanese and Chinese , " image " the court is not so good , they refused to take sengketanya to court , they think that the court is a place for the wicked . They tends to the expression " " Trust the people rather than the Paper " . They assume that the dispute could be settled there by discussion and consensus , through conciliation and mediation media . Dispute for the West , to resolve disputes out of court , predicate of a modern culture , which is guided by efficiency and effectiveness.Keyoords: settlement, music, judicial  AbstrakPenyelesaian sengketa hak cita lagu atau musik banyak dilakukan di luar badan peradilan. Parapihak yang bersengketa, seperti pencipta, penyanyi ataupun produser music, tidak ingin persengketaan yang terjadi di antara mereka sampai ke kantor Polisi maupun ke Pengadilan. Mereka berusaha untuk sedapat mungkin menghindari penyelesain sengketa dengan cara demikian. Mereka berusaha menghindari briokrasi badan peradilan yang bertele-tele, banyak menyita waktu, tenaga dan biaya. Sikap ini, berkaitan dengan sikap dan perilaku yang disebut budaya hukum. Bagi masyarakat Timur, seperti Korea, Jepang dan Tionghoa, “citra” pengadilan tidak begitu baik, mereka enggan membawa sengketanya ke pengadilan, mereka beranggapan bahwa pengadilan adalah tempat bagi orang-orang jahat. Mereka lebih cendrung pada ungkapan” “Trust the people rather than the Paper”. Mereka berasumsi agar sengketa yang terjadi dapat diselesaikan secara musyawarah dan mufakat, melalui media konsiliasi dan mediasi. Sengketa bagi masyarakat Barat, penyelesaian sengketa di luar pengadilan, bertitik tolak dari suatu budaya masyarakat moderen, yang berpedoman pada efisiensi dan efektivitas.Kata kunci:  sengketa, musik, pengadilan
