<![CDATA[Islam as a religion that has a legal basis in the Qur'an and hadith is also a religion that cannot be separated from the interaction of the state which is social life. The Prophet as uswatun hasanah in reality is a leader who is truly capable of becoming a religious leader and a leader of the state. However, after the death of the Prophet Muhammad experienced a dispute regarding the next leader. This problem became more acute after the leadership of Umar bin Khattab, and the climax was the tahkim event or better known as arbitration. This later became the first political upheaval in Islamic leadership. During the leadership successions, these periods experienced extraordinary political upheaval. Apart from these conditions, Islam was still able to accommodate a pluralistic society so Islam experienced its heyday in those first years.
