<![CDATA[Many people with hypertension do not know the early symptoms of the disease they are suffering from because of a lack of knowledge about the disease. It takes a tool to provide information to the public about the disease of hypertension in order to do early prevention. This study develops an expert system that can be used to diagnose hypertension. The reasoning method used by the expert system is Certainty Factor (CF), where CF or certainty factor is useful for overcoming uncertainty in determining diseases that have the same symptoms (evidence). In CF there is also the concept of Measures of Belief (MB) or a measure of trust and Measures of Disbelief (MD) or a measure of distrust. The system model is poured in the form of a Web-based Expert System application, which was developed using the PHP programming language. Testing the accuracy of the CF method is done by comparing the results of CF-based diagnoses with the results of diagnoses by experts on hypertension. The test results on 15 data samples showed that the accuracy of diagnosing the CF method reached 93%.Keywords: Expert System; Hypertension Disease; Certainty FactorAbstrak. Banyak penderita penyakit Hipertensi tidak mengetahui gejala awal penyakit yang diderita karena kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai penyakit tersebut. Dibutuhkan suatu alat bantu untuk memberi informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai penyakit Hipertensi tersebut agar dapat melakukan pencegahan dini. Penelitian ini mengembangkan Sistem Pakar yang dapat digunakan untuk mendiagnosa penyakit Hipertensi. Metode penalaran yang digunakan oleh sistem pakar adalah Certainty Factor (CF), dimana CF atau faktor kepastian berguna untuk mengatasi ketidakpastian dalam menentukan penyakit yang mempunyai gejala (evidence) yang sama. Dalam CF juga terdapat konsep Measures of Belief (MB) atau ukuran kepercayaan dan Measures of Disbelief (MD) atau ukuran ketidakpercayaan. Model sistem dituangkan dalam bentuk aplikasi Sistem Pakar berbasis Web, yang dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Pengujian akurasi metode CF dilakukan dengan membandingkan hasil diagnosa berbasis CF terhadap hasil diagnosa oleh pakar penyakit Hipertensi.
