<![CDATA[Background: The high workload of nurses can cause poor or poor communication between patients and nurses, have an impact on the poor quality of nursing services provided and affect the patient's condition. Purpose: This study aims to determine the correlation between nurses workload and caring behavior in internal ward of DR. R. Soedjono Selong public hospital. Method: This research is a type of quantitative research with cross sectional design of sampling techniques in the study using a total sampling technique of 38 respondents. Result: Based on the result of this study showed that most of nurses have hight workload (81,68%) and the rest was categorized in low workload (18,49%). For nurse’s caring behavior, 44,8% nurses ware in low category, 36,8% were in moderate category, and 18,4% were in high category. Based on the statistical analysis using Rank Spearman, the result showed that p value = 0,000 and it mean that Ho rejected so there is significant correlation between nurses workload with the nurse’s caring behavior. Therefore the advice given, preferably a nurse workload adjusted to the task description by giving the job description according to his job descriptions. Abstrak: Latar Belakang: Beban kerja perawat yang tinggi dapat menyebabkan kurang atau buruknya komunikasi antara pasien dan perawat, berdampak pada buruknya kualitas pelayanan keperawatan yang diberikan serta berpengaruh terhadap kondisi pasien. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui pengaruh beban kerja terhadap perilaku caring perawat di ruang rawat inap Interna RSUD DR. R. Soedjono Selong. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis rancangan cross sectional tehnik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian menggunakan tehnik total sampling sebanyak 38 responded. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menujukan bahwa beban kerja perawat berat sebesar 81,69% dan dengan beban kerja ringan sebesar 18,49%. Sedangkan untuk perilaku caring perawat dengan kategori kurang sebesar 44,8%, kategori cukup sebesar 36,8% dan perilaku caring dengan kategori baik sebesar 18,4%. Hasil uji statistik dengan menggunakan Spearman rank dengan SPSS yaitu p value=0,000 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang artinya ada pengaruh antara beban kerja terhadap perilaku caring perawat. Oleh karena itu saran yang diberikan, sebaiknya beban kerja perawat disesuaikan dengan uraian tugas dengan memberikan pekerjaan sesuai job description nya.]]>
