ABSTRACT The process of the entry of Islam into Indonesia has been assessed and disclosed by many experts. The stages of entering Islam in the archipelago are divided into three phases: the arrival process in the 7th century, the spread process in the 11th century, and the development process in the 13th century. This also affects the arrival, spread, and development process of Islam in Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papa. This paper is a literature review that seeks to provide an overview of the process of Islamization of Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua including the arrival, spread, and development of Islam.
