<![CDATA[Abstract. The prevalence of hypertension continues to increase with age. Hypertension can cause morbidity and mortality caused due to poor blood pressure control which can be caused due to low adherence. In geriatrics, it is common that low adherence of treatment occurs caused due to several factors. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of adherence to the treatment of geriatric patients with hypertension at the Cicantayan Sukabumi Health Center and find out the factors that can influence the low level of treatment compliance in geriatric patients. This study was conducted using the MMAS-8 Questionnaire to measure the level of treatment adherence. From the results of the study conducted, the level of adherence to the treatment of geriatric patients with hypertension at the Cicantayan Sukabumi Health Center showed a low level of adherence and there was a factors affecting low adherence in geriatric patients are cognitive condition, a history of diseases associated with cognitive function, the busyness of the patient, family support, the patient's understanding, the presence of side effects, motivation in the patient, travel conditions, availability of drugs, provision of education through counselling, and polypharmaceuticals. Abstrak. Prevalensi hipertensi terus meningkat seiring dengan bertambahnya usia. Hipertensi dapat menyebabkan morbiditas dan mortalitas yang disebabkan karena kontrol tekanan darah yang buruk yang dapat disebabkan karena rendahnya kepatuhan. Pada geriatri umum terjadi ketidakpatuhan pengobatan yang disebabkan karena beberapa faktor. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kepatuhan pengobatan pasien geriatri dengan hipertensi di Puskesmas Cicantayan Sukabumi dan mengetahui faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi rendahnya kepatuhan pada pasien geriatri. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Kuesioner MMAS-8 untuk mengukur tingkat kepatuhan pengobatan. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan tingkat kepatuhan pengobatan pasien geriatri dengan hipertensi di Puskesmas Cicantayan Sukabumi menunjukan tingkat kepatuhan yang rendah dan terdapat faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya kepatuhan pada pasien geriatri adalah kondisi kognitif, riwayat penyakit yang berhubungan dengan fungsi kognitif, kesibukan pasien, dukungan keluarga, pemahaman pasien, adanya efek samping, motivasi pada pasien, kondisi bepergian, ketersediaan obat, pemberian edukasi melalui konseling, dan polifarmasi.]]>
