JENIS MULSA ORGANIK DAN PUPUK HAYATI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PERTUMBUHAN DAN PRODUKSI TANAMAN MENTIMUN (Cucumis sativus L.)

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendapatkan jenis mulsa organik dan dosis pupuk hayati yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman mentimun (Cucumis sativus L.). Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di lahan milik petani yang terletak di jalan Sukarela, Kelurahan Kebun Bunga, Kec. Sukarami,  Km 7 Palembang Sumatera Selatan. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan dari bulan Mei sampai Agustus 2021. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Petak Terbagi (Split-plot design) terdiri dari 9 kombinasi perlakuan yang di ulang 3 kali. Adapun perlakuan yang dimaksud adalah sebagai berikut petak utama : jenis mulsa organik (M) yaitu M1 = tanpa mulsa ;  M2 = mulsa sekam padi ; M3 = mulsa serbuk gergaji sedangkan anak petak : dosis pupuk organik hayati  (H) yaitu H1=10 ml/L  ; H2 = 20 ml/L ; H3= 30 ml/L. Peubah yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah Tinggi tanaman (cm), Diameter buah (cm). Jumlah buah, Berat buah pertanaman (g) dan Berat buah perpetak (kg). Berdasarkan hasil  penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara tabulasi perlakuan kombinasi jenis mulsa sekam padi dengan pupuk hayati 20 ml/L air menghasilkan produksi tertinggi sebesar 8,77 kg/petak atau setara dengan 35,08 ton/ha.This study aims to determine and obtain the right type of organic mulch and dose of biological fertilizer on the growth and production of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) plants. This research has been carried out on land owned by farmers located on Jalan Sukarela, Kelurahan Kebun Bunga, Kec. Sukarami, Km 7 Palembang, South Sumatra. This research was carried out from May to August 2021. This study used an experimental method with a Split-plot design consisting of 9 treatment combinations which were repeated 3 times. The treatments in question are as follows: Main plot: Use of organic mulch (M) type, namely M1 = no mulch; M2 = rice husk mulch; M3 = sawdust mulch while Sub-plots: dosage of biological organic fertilizer (H), namely H1=10 ml/L; H2 = 20 ml/L ; H3 = 30 ml/L. The variables observed in this study were plant height (cm), fruit diameter (cm). Number of fruit, weight of fruit per plant (g) and weight of fruit per plot (kg). Based on the results of the study, it was shown that tabulated combination treatment of rice husk mulch with biological fertilizer 20 ml/L of water resulted in the highest production of 8.77 kg/plot or equivalent to 35.08 ton/ha.
