ABSTRACT The problem of covid 19 in Indonesia has not been completely handled. One of the conditions that can worsen and increase mortality in patients with COVID-19 is comorbid infections and other comorbid factors. Appendicitis is one of the most common infectious diseases in Indonesia. This disease has the opportunity to become one of the comorbidities in patients suffering from COVID-19. Thus, it is necessary to prevent and control appendicitis or appendicitis infections in order to reduce the mortality of COVID-19 patients. One of the efforts made is to organize activities that aim to increase community capacity in preventing appendicitis during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to reducing the Covid-19 mortality rate, it is also to improve the quality of life of the Indonesian people in order to avoid infection or appendicitis. The activities carried out are in the form of providing materials using platforms or online meeting applications by presenting resource persons who are competent in their respective fields. The results of the activity show that there is an increase in public knowledge that materials related to the prevention of appendicitis during the covid 19 pandemic have been given. The team recommends that health workers and related parties take efforts to control other comorbid factors in order to significantly reduce the mortality and morbidity of covid 19
