Abstract

One of the roles of stomata was as a place of exchange of oxygen from the tissues into the atmosphere and carbon dioxide from the atmosphere into plant tissues. Dicot plants have stomata that spread throughout the surface of the leaves. This study aimed to identify the stomata type characteristics leaves of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, Tamarindus indica and Mangifera indica. The method of making preparations to see stomata using the replica method. The results showed that hibiscus rosa-sinensis leaves have anisositic stomata type, Tamarindus indica leaves have parasitic stomata type and Mangifera indica leaves have anomositic stomata type. The conclusion of the study proves that in some dicot plants have a variety of stomata types.
