<![CDATA[Swelling of the breasts is influenced by the mother's frequency of breastfeeding, the duration of breastfeeding. Most of the breast swelling is given anti-inflammatory drug therapy, however, there are several ways of complementary breast care that can be done to reduce breast swelling. This study aims to determine the effect of giving cabbage leaf compresses to breast swelling in post partum mothers. This experimental study used a pre-test and post-test design without a control group. The sampling technique uses total sampling. Data were analyzed descriptively and then tested the hypothesis using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the analysis showed that before being given a cabbage leaf compress there were 43.3% of respondents experiencing breast swelling on a scale of 5, and after being given a cabbage leaf compress there were 56.7% with breast swelling on a scale of 1. P value = 0.000, which means there is a difference in the scale of breast swelling between before and after the intervention. It was concluded that cabbage leaf compresses are effective for reducing postpartum breast swelling.Keywords: cabbage leaves; compress; breast swelling ABSTRAKA. Pembengkakan payudara dipengaruhi oleh frekuensi ibu untuk menyusui, durasi menyusui. Pembengkakan payudara sebagian besar diberikan terapi obat anti inflamasi, namun demikian beberapa cara perawatan payudara komplementer yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengurangi pembengkakan payudara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian kompres daun kubis terhadap pembengkakan payudara pada ibu post partum. Penelitian eksperimental ini menggunakan desain pre-test and post-test without control group. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif lalu dilakukan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebelum diberikan kompres daun kubis terdapat 43,3% responden mengalami pembengkakan payudara skala 5, dan setelah diberikan kompres daun kubis terdapat 56,7% dengan pembengkakan payudara skala 1. Nilai p = 0,000, yang berarti ada perbedaan skala pembengkakan payudara antara sebelum dan setelah intervensi.
