<![CDATA[One of the plants that are efficacious for treating wounds is the fern leaves because they contain flavonoids, tannins and alkaloids. This study aims to determine the effect of crushed fern leaves on the duration of wound closure in white mice. The design of this study was posttest only with control group, which involved 17 white mice for each group. The control and treatment groups were injured and given the same contamination. The control group was treated with 0.9% NaCl and the treatment group was treated with the addition of crushed fern leaves. Next, the wound closure time was measured. Differences in wound closure time of the two groups were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney test. The control group's mean was 11.43 days, while the control group's mean was 9.53 days. The p-value of the test was 0.000. It was concluded that the administration of crushed fern leaves accelerated the process of closing contaminated wounds in white mice.Keywords: fern leaves; wound closure; white mice ABSTRAK Salah satu tanaman yang berkhasiat untuk perawatan luka adalah kelakai karena mengandung flavonoid, tanin dan alkaloid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lumatan daun kelakai terhadap lama penutupan luka terkontaminasi pada mencit putih. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah posttest only with control group, yang melibatkan 17 mencit putih untuk masing-masing kelompok. Kelompok kontrol dan perlakuan dilukai dan diberi kontaminasi yang sama. Kelompok kontrol dirawat menggunakan NaCl 0,9% dan kelompok perlakuan dirawat dengan tambahan lumatan daun kelakai. Selanjutnya diukur lama penutupan luka. Perbedaan lama penutupan luka dari kedua kelompok dianalisis dengan uji Mann-Whitney. Mean kelompok kontrol adalah 11,43 hari, sedangkan kelompok perlauan adalah 9,53 hari. Nilai p dari pengujian adalah 0,000.
