Abstract

Selat Makassar merupakan selat yang terletak di antara Pulau Kalimantan dan Pulau Sulawesi. Pembangkitan gelombang internal di Selat Makassar memanfaatkan relasi dispersi yang diturunkan dari persamaan dasar fluida dua lapisan yang masing-masing berupa fluida ideal yang tak berotasi. Relasi dispersi yang diperoleh berupa relasi dispersi Kelvin-Helmholtz. Berdasarkan relasi dispersi Kelvin-Helmholtz digambarkan frekuensi dan kecepatan fase gelombang internal terhadap bilangan gelombang.
