Abstract

Theft often occurs at home, office, or warehouse where goods are stored. This action may happen due to many factors, one of them being the weakness of the security system that is implemented. To secure a room, people used to use a door in front of it. Generally, a door is locked by a conventional key to secure the room behind it. Due to the progress of technology, there is an innovation to secure a door room by creating a new security system to replace using the conventional one. This research is designed to make a sensor system based on Arduino Uno using short service messages (SMS). To build the circuit for the sensor system, other components are needed, such as the Magnetic Switch sensor, PIR sensor, buzzer, and SIM800L module. To complete the research in making sensor systems, we do these methods: literature study, observation, and interview in order to make an analysis, design, and implementation. The end result of this research is a better security system for a room that is more safe than a conventional one.
