<![CDATA[Background: Elderly is someone aged 60 years and over and is the final stage in the process of human life and someone who is elderly will experience changes and decline in body functions. Constipation is one of the health problems that are often complained of by the elderly. One of the causes of the elderly experiencing constipation is a pattern of lack of physical activity.Objective: To analyze the relationship between physical activity patterns and constipation in the elderly in Mawali Village, North Lembeh District.Methods: The research subjects were taken using the Probability Sampling technique, namely Simple Random Sampling. The number of samples was 94 elderly who were assessed with a physical activity pattern questionnaire, namely the Physical Activity Scale for Elderly and a constipation questionnaire, namely the Constipation Scoring System. Statistical analysis used is the chi-square test.Results: There is a significant relationship between the pattern of physical activity with constipation in the elderly (p = 0.000).Conclusions and Suggestions: The elderly in the Mawali village, North Lembeh sub-district, often experience constipation due to lack of physical activity. It is recommended that the elderly in the Mawali village, North Lembeh sub-district, can do sufficient physical activity so that they can prevent constipation problems.]]>
