Gambaran Kualitas Hidup Penderita Diabetes Melitus pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Tahun 2021

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a risk factor that increases the severity of Covid-19 infection. Diabetic patients who are not treated properly will affect their quality of life, and low quality of life can reduce the quality of care and cause a decrease in the prognosis and complications of diabetes during a pandemic. This study aimed to describe the quality of life of people with diabetes mellitus during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021. Respondents were 123 people selected by accidental sampling technique. Data was collected through filling out questionnaires and then analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. The results of the analysis show that most people with diabetes mellitus during the Covid-19 pandemic had a good quality of life (78.9%), both in terms of physical health, mental health, social relationships and environmental health.Keywords: quality of life; diabetes mellitus; Covid-19 ABSTRAK Diabetes melitus merupakan faktor risiko yang meningkatkan keparahan infeksi Covid-19. Pasien diabetes yang tidak dirawat dengan baik akan mempengaruhi kualitas hidup, dan rendahnya kualitas hidup dapat menurunkan kualitas perawatan dan menyebabkan penurunan prognosis dan komplikasi diabetes di masa pandemi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran quality of life penderita diabetes melitus pada masa pandemi Covid-19 pada tahun 2021. Responden adalah 123 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik accidental sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengisian kuesioner lalu dianalisis dengan metode statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar penderita diabetes melitus pada masa pandemi Covid-19 memiliki quality of life yang baik (78,9%), baik dari aspek kesehatan fisik, kesehatan jiwa, hubungan sosial dan kesehatan lingkungan.Kata kunci: quality of life; diabetes melitus; Covid-19
