Perspektif pemahaman konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika berdasarkan teori bruner dan gender

This study aims to describe the profile of students' mathematical reasoning with an independent cognitive field in terms of gender. The mathematical reasoning abilities studied are interpreting mathematical ideas, describing problem situations in the form of images, proposing conjectures, and stating the results of problem solving. The subjects in this study were 4 students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Watampone. The data collection technique in this study used a test method in the form of a problem-solving test. The data analysis process starts from data collection until the researcher completes the task in the field. When the researcher began to collect data, analysis was carried out on the questions asked based on the subject's responses. For example, if the subject's response to the question posed is not in accordance with the research objectives and according to the researcher's analysis, the response given is not interesting to express, then the question is asked in a different sentence, but still at the core of the problem. The results of this study indicate that the written mathematical reasoning profile of the male student with the Field Independence cognitive style in solving mathematical problems, at the stage of understanding the problem, he writes what is known and what is asked accurately but not completely.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil penalaran matematika siswa yang bergaya kognitif field independen yang ditinjau berd asarkan gender. Kemampuan penalaran matematis yang diteliti adalah menginterpretasikan ide matematis, menggambarkan situasi masalah dalam bentuk gambar, mengajukan dugaan, dan menyatakan hasil pemecahan masalah. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 4 siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Watampone. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode tes berupa tes pemecahan masalah. Proses analisis data dimulai sejak pengumpulan data sampai pada saat peneliti menyelesaikan tugas di lapangan. Ketika peneliti mulai mengumpulkan data, analisis dilakukan terhadap pertanyaan yang diajukan berdasarkan respon subjek. Misalkan, jika respon subjek terhadap pertanyaan yang diajukan tidak sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian dan menurut analisis peneliti, respon yang diberikan tidak menarik untuk diungkapkan, maka diajukan pertanyaan dengan kalimat yang berbeda, namun tetap dalam inti permasalahan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa profil penalaran matematis secara tertulis siswa laki-laki dengan gaya kognitif Field Independence dalam pemecahan masalah matematika, pada tahap memahami masalah, ia menuliskan hal-hal yang diketahui dan yang ditanyakan dengan akurat namun tidak lengkap.
