Abstract

Polimer resin BQTN – Ex 157, isosianate, dan poliol sebagai matriks formulasi kompositas polymeric foam, selanjutnya memanfaatkan bahan reinforced serat alam Serat Tandan Kelapa Sawir (TKKS) yang merupakan limbah industri Pabrik Kelapa Sawit diproses secara alkalisasi 1% NaOH menghasilkan benang seratyang terbebas dari unsur sellulossa dan unsur lain yang melekat pada geometri TKKS. Penelitian ini fokus mengetahui nilai ketangguhan tegangan yang terjadi akibat pembebanan mekanik pada spesimen komposit polymeric foam ASTM D-620 menggunakan alat uji servopulser . Hasil pengujian diporeleh tegangan σmax = 9,863 MPa, rengangan ε max = 0,04581 mm / mm, modulus elastisitas Emax = 215,2368MPa, elongasi maksimum sebesar 4,271 %, Rerata nilai stress-strain mekanik komposit polimeric foam diperkuat serat Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) sebesar σ = 6,5537 MPa, serta ε = 0,039705 MPa
