Eksplorasi Etnomatematika Jenis Anyaman Tradisional Etnis Dayak Taman Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu Dan Hubungannya Dengan Konsep-Konsep Matematika Dalam Pembelajaran Kontekstual

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsep matematika dengan jenis anyaman tradisional etnis dayak taman di kabupaten Kapuas Hulu dan mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran kontekstual dengan mengeksplorasi unsur kebudayaan masyarakat suku Dayak Taman dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Kualitatif dan Kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMP 03 Putussibau yang terletak di Kecamatan Putusibau Selatan, dengan sampel Kelas VIII A yang dipilih secara cluster sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan ada 5 yaitu : 1) wawancara, 2) observsi , 3) tes dan 4) dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitin terpilih tiga jenis anyaman yang mempunyai hubungan dengan konsep matematika yaitu caping, tengkin dan tikar. Hubungan ketiga jenis anyaman tersebut dengan konsep matematika adalah pola bilangan bangun datar dan bangun ruang. Pembeljaran kontekstual dengan memasukkan unsur budaya efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kata Kunci : Etnomatematika , Konsep matematika, Pembelajaran kontekstual Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between the concept of mathematics and the types of traditional weaving of the Dayak Taman ethnic group in Kapuas Hulu district and to determine the effectiveness of contextual learning models by exploring cultural elements of the Dayak Taman ethnic group in improving student learning outcomes. This type of research is Qualitative and Quantitative. The population in this study was class VIII SMP 03 Putussibau located in Putusibau Selatan District, with class VIII A samples selected by cluster sampling. There are 5 data collection techniques used, namely: 1) interviews, 2) observation, 3) tests and 4) documentation. Based on the results of the research, three types of webbing were selected which had a relationship with mathematical concepts, namely caping, tengkin and mats. The relationship between the three types of matting with mathematical concepts is the pattern of flat and geometric shapes. Contextual learning by incorporating cultural elements effectively improves student learning outcomes. Keywords: Contextual learning, Ethnomatematics, Mathematical concepts
