Balinese traditional settlement is a village or house arrangement based on Balinese philosophy. This settlement pattern has been passed down from ancient times by the ancestors of the Balinese people. Along with the times and the entry of globalization, it requires that traditional settlements be affected. This research was conducted using a case study approach with qualitative methods, by collecting data through observation and literature review. Furthermore, the data is analyzed, reduced, and interpreted so that it can be presented descriptively. The results showed that the settlement of Sanding Village used an intersection pattern, as seen by the construction of public facilities in the village catus pata zone. The maintenance of traditional Balinese settlements is carried out through the construction of main houses in elbow satak and the use of strong Balinese philosophical concepts. The conclusion obtained by the people of Sanding Village seems that they have not been separated from the concept of traditional settlements, and the increase in population experienced was overcome by the construction of new housing outside the satak elbow. Keywords; Traditional settlements, Balinese philosophy
