Abstract

ABSTRAKIkan tongkol (Euthynnus Affinis) merupakan tangkapan utama alat tangkap purse seine di Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai Pasongsongan Sumenep dan sekitarnya. Upaya dan intensitas penangkapan yang terus meningkat akan dapat mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan kondisi populasi ikan tongkol.   Mengetahui kecenderungan sebaran ukuran tubuh ikan hasil tangkapan, nilai Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE), dan tingkat pemanfaatan ikan tongkol (Euthynnus Affinis) merupakan tujuan dari penelitian ini, Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan November 2021 sampai bulan Mei 2022. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan histogram distribusi panjang, berat dan metode surplus produksi dengan menggunakan model Schaefer (1954). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kisaran panjang tubuh antara 15,7 cm – 45,8 cm dan berat tubuh berkisar 13,6 g – 66,8 g. Nilai CPUE berkisar 0,4786 ton/trip - 2,0822 ton/trip. Tingkat pemanfaatan tertinggi senilai 128,09% termasuk katagori overfishing dan terendah adalah 43,67%  dengan katagori sedang.  Kata Kunci : Ikan Tongkol (Euthynnus affinis), purse seine, Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE), dan tingkat pemanfaatan. ABSTRACTTuna (Euthynnus affinis) is the main catch for purse seine fishing gear at the Sumenep Pasongsongan Beach Fishery Port and its surrounding. Efforts and fishing intensity that continues to increase will be able to affect the growth and condition of tuna population. Knowing the trend in the distribution of body size of fish caught, the value of Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE), and the level of utilization of tuna (Euthynnus affinis) is the goal of this study. The research was conducted from November 2021 to May 2022. The method used is the histogram approach distribution of length, weight and method of production surplus using the Schaefer model (1954). The results showed that the body length ranged from 15,7 cm – 45,8 cm and the body weight ranged from 13,6 g – 66,8 g. CPUE values range from 0.4786 tonnes/trip – 2.082 tonnes/trip. The highest utilization rate of 128.09% is included in the overfishing catagory and the lowest is 43.67% in the medium catagory Keywords : Tuna fish (Euthynnus affinis), purse seine, Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE), and utilization rate.
