Abstract

Abstrak Base isolation adalah alat yang disisipkan antara struktur bawah dengan struktur atas. Metode ini merupakan salah satu teknologi yang sedang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan struktur dalam penggunaan isolator dan tanpa isolator. Sehingga mengetahui seberapa jauh isolator dapat meredam gaya gempa yang ditinjau dari gaya geser dasar, displacement, dan gaya dalam. Gedung yang ditinjau berlantai 4 dengan tinggi 20,95 m. Perancanaan desain gedung yaitu struktur tanpa isolator (fixed base) dan struktur dengan isolator (base isolation) menggunakan software SAP2000. Isolator yang digunakan adalah tipe elastomeric rubber bearing. Analisis gaya gempa menggunakan metode gempa statis dengan menggunakan respon spektrum. Berdasarkan hasil perencanaan diperoleh dimensi isolator diameter 0,85 meter. Hasil analisa menunjukan bahwa gaya-gaya dalam dapat tereduksi seperti gaya geser 49,3%, gaya momen 4,0%, gaya aksial 43,4%. Displacement yang terjadi pada struktur menggunakan base isolator lebih besar dari struktur tanpa menggunakan isolator yaitu rata-rata 44,91% arah X dan 41,14% arah Y. Kata kunci: Kolom persegi, Perilaku struktur, Beban gempa, Base isolation Abstract Base isolation is a tool that is inserted between the lower structure and the upper structure. This method is one of the technologies being developed. This study aims to determine the structure comparison in the use of isolators and without isolators. So that it knows how far the insulator can dampen the earthquake forces in terms of the base shear force, displacement, and internal force. The building under review has four story with a height of 20,95 meters. Building design planning namely structure without isolators (fixed base) and structure with isolators (base isolation) using SAP2000 software. The isolation used is the type elastomeric rubber bearing. Earthquake force analysis uses the static earthquake methods using a response spectrum. Based on the planning results obtained isolator dimensions of 0,850 meters. The result of the analysis show that the internal forces can be reduced by Shear forces of 49,3%, moment force of 4,0%, axial force of 43,4%. Displacement that occurs in structure using base isolation is greater than structure without using isolation namely an average of 44,91% in the x direction, and 41,14% in the y direction. Keywords: Square columns, Structure responses, Earthquake loads, Base isolation
