The development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) have an important role in the economic sector for employment creation and also as sources of economic growth. Geographical grouping of at least twenty enterprises in the  industrial manufacturing sector producing more or less the same products is called industrial cluster. According to official data of the Department of Industry and Commerce, Blitar City has at least fourteen industrial clusters, one of them is "opak gambir” industrial cluster located in Plosokerep village. This research aims to explain the history of the opak gambir industrial cluster in Plosokerep from 1987 to 2019 and how the development of this industrial cluster affects the society of Plosokerep in the economic sector. As a historical research, this study uses historical study methods as research tools by doing topic selection, heuristic, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. This study shows that the industrial cluster of opak gambir in Plosokerep village started to emerge in the 1980s. The emerging of this industrial cluster began when a few people of Plosokerep sold their product in famous tourist objects in Blitar city such as Istana Gebang and Makam Bung Karno and it made opak gambir known as one of the traditional snacks from Blitar. The main contribution of this industrial cluster in the economic sector is to decrease unemployment and generally to increase the income of Plosokerep residents.Pengembangan usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran penting dalam sektor ekonomi untuk penciptaan lapangan kerja dan juga sumber pertumbuhan ekonomi. Pengelompokan geografis dari sekurang-kurangnya dua puluh perusahaan di sektor industri manufaktur yang menghasilkan produk yang kurang lebih sama disebut klaster industri. Menurut data resmi Dinas Perindustrian dan Perdagangan, Kota Blitar memiliki sedikitnya empat belas klaster industri, salah satunya klaster industri "'opak gambir" yang terletak di Desa Plosokerep. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan sejarah klaster industri opak gambir di Plosokerep sejak tahun 1987 hingga 2019 dan bagaimana perkembangan klaster industri ini mempengaruhi masyarakat Plosokerep di bidang ekonomi. Sebagai penelitian sejarah, penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah sebagai alat penelitian dengan melakukan pemilihan topik, heuristik, kritik sumber, interpretasi, dan historiografi. Kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa klaster industri opak gambir di Desa Plosokerep mulai bermunculan pada tahun 1980-an. Munculnya klaster industri ini bermula dari segelintir warga Plosokerep menjual produknya di objek wisata terkenal di kota Blitar seperti Istana Gebang dan Makam Bung Karno sehingga opak gambir dikenal sebagai salah satu jajanan tradisional dari Blitar. Kontribusi utama dari klaster industri ini di bidang ekonomi adalah mengurangi pengangguran dan secara umum meningkatkan pendapatan penduduk Plosokerep.
