Islamic boarding schools have a major contribution in educating people in Indonesia, not only intellectual but spiritual. Da'wah communication in Child- Friendly Islamic Boarding Schools has its own characteristics in the formation of the character of students in Islamic boarding schools. Through the child- friendly boarding school program, students are positioned as living subjects so that the educational process can be realized in conditions that are safe, clean, healthy, guaranteed to fulfill rights and protect children from violence. With the child-friendly boarding school program, it is hoped that it can form the character of good and quality students for survival in the social environment. The purpose of this study was to find out about communication patterns and forms of communication that exist in Islamic boarding schools through the child-friendly Islamic boarding school program. Communication between students and kyai through verbal and nonverbal language. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research by examining and explaining clearly how da'wah communication can shape the character of students through a child-friendly Islamic boarding school program. The case study method, namely in the form of comprehensive descriptions and explanations regarding various aspects of a person or institution and a social situation. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through observation or observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis is done by giving meaning to the data that has been collected, and conclusions are drawn from that meaning
